<p>Culture is deﬁned by our attitudes, our beliefs, our values, and our actions. It&rsquo;s visible in the way we treat each other and how we approach our everyday work.</p>

<p>And while the core spirit of our culture is permanent, it will be evolving and progressing throughout the path of our success.</p>

<p>As we continue growing and scaling globally, we need better tools to maintain our cultural pivot, always sharing a core set of values and behaviors across the Company in all countries we operate in.</p>

<p>As in recent years, we&rsquo;ve grown quickly, we spare no effort to meet all the cultural and ethical requirements of a world-class company, to give a chance to our full potential of constant growth.</p>

<p>Here everyone can talk to anyone - from our Board to our CEO and Executive Leadership Team, and all throughout our business. We do not accept hubris and excessive egos. Hierarchy or process for the sake of process has nothing to do with us, and at the end of the day, we&rsquo;re all just human beings that ought to be in a healthy relationship of mutual care.</p>

<h3>Fail and Succeed</h3>

<p>And last but not least, we want you to be as comfortable talking about your mistakes as you would rejoice in case of success. We should feel safe raising our hand if we&rsquo;ve made a mistake. Being able to work with no limitations and insecurity caused by fears, is what gives a chance to our full potential and leads to success.</p>

<p>Over 5 years into my career in HR and I still get the exhilarating rush when an interview with a candidate is about to start. I&rsquo;ve always been a people person and each day I use that skill to make sure our company finds the best of the brightest talent!</p>

<p>We&rsquo;ve been using SMS as a means of communicating with candidates for quite some time now and we look for more ways of implementing it in recruitment. Interestingly enough, using SMS for recruiting processes has actually proven very beneficial- not to mention that we use the company&rsquo;s own product to impact its growth: that&rsquo;s just genius!</p>

<p>Some of the options of how companies can use SMS in recruitment are:</p>

<p>Sometimes, the day can go by so fast that you feel like it slipped by you. One of the solutions to ensure the timely and proper invitation of a candidate is scheduling all the messages in advance so that the candidates receive reminders about their upcoming interviews. Think how beneficial it is from their perspective to be reminded not only about the interview they&rsquo;re about to have but the thought that we take into each applicant.</p>

<p>A couple of months ago we were about to conduct our second internal survey and we&rsquo;ve decided to try out SMS instead of the original email. The results actually surprised me: 17% more employees completed the survey in comparison to the first one. The same way we implement inviting candidates to post-interview surveys to find out how that interview went: there&rsquo;s something about surveys that people just love taking.</p>

<p>Posting vacancies and acquiring candidates is not a one-day task, so the more channels you send your invites to, the more options you will have in the end. So, to make sure that you get all the possible options before shortlisting candidates you send job alerts via SMS: remember that you may need an internet connection to send out SMS via the dashboard, but the receiver doesn&rsquo;t and you can even include links for them to open applications on the spot.</p>

<p>I guess that at first glance it might be a strange notion for companies to communicate with a candidate via an SMS, but this recruiting strategy has been implemented and tested so many times that it&rsquo;s already become a typical process. Even statistically speaking, the company gets an advantage if SMS is used for recruiting. Over 53% of candidates trust a company when it responds via SMS and 73% of job searchers favor targeted job opportunities via SMS.</p>

<p>Obviously, not every single step of the process should be achieved with SMS, it&rsquo;s important to juggle the right and wrong. It&rsquo;s never a good idea for instance to make an official job offer to the selected candidate via SMS; basically a text message.</p>

<p>But, let&rsquo;s have a look at a few major factors of the advantages:</p>

	<li>Access granted. Well, for starters even though the majority of people (if not pretty much every single human being on this planet earth) have mobile phones, however, not every one of them has a steady internet connection at all times. So, the fastest way to reach people and make sure your message is received is via text, not to mention that the highest open rate for SMS is 98% (keep in mind that email is only 20%).</li>
	<li>Privacy is a priority. It goes without saying that security is of high priority for us and we have a state-of-the-art protocol in place that guarantees the privacy of anyone that is remotely or directly related to our product. It&rsquo;s an absolute must to use SMS only with those candidates that actually give their permission and opt-in, remember that privacy and comfort is what SMS should entail.</li>
	<li>Abundance is key. The technical aspect of SMS is so flexible and agile that you can select specific notions that would work best for you and the candidate. Opportunities from alerts, notifications, message personalizations to any extent, to locations and services are granted with our accessible omnichannel platform directly from the dashboard or with API integration.</li>

<p>I&rsquo;ve been working at Dexatel for over three years and it seems like just yesterday I came for an interview. Funnily enough, I actually applied for a job opening in the Network Operations Center department. But, as life would have it, I somehow ended up at the right place in the Sales department as a Business Development Manager of <a href="https://dexatel.com/">Dexatel OU</a>.</p>

<p>The first thing that made me fall in love with the company is that they understood my abilities better, so when I was offered a different position, I knew that this was the company for me: three years and still going strong!</p>

<p>It&rsquo;s very important to understand that as a Business development manager, there are certain skills that need to be turned into habits. What helps most, is that you should be a calm and reasonable person. Each client is a different person with different ways of thinking and working style, so as a professional you should give full attention to your customers.</p>

<p>Over the years I&rsquo;ve gained a lot of experience that helps me pass on my knowledge to others and guide new Sales team members in turn. It&rsquo;s satisfying to close a deal, but it&rsquo;s also amazing to guide your team in their journey. Remember, that you are the one working towards the outcome that your attention should be directed to. You are working towards a purpose and what you do affects the company directly.</p>

<p>From my own experience, I realized that there are basic competencies that a Business development manager or, one to be, should have. Let&rsquo;s have a look at a few fundamental ones, shall we!?</p>

<ol>
	<li>Well, <strong>Confidence</strong> is the first and most important one on the list. Whether you are speaking with a prospective customer or a long-term partner, you need to maintain confidence and a positive attitude at all times.</li>
	<li>There are times that you need to overcome challenges in order to prove that your product is the best and, so the second one on my list would be <strong>Resilience</strong>. You need to make sure you communicate with conviction. It&rsquo;s always the case that you need to put a lot of time and effort into trying to land a deal.</li>
	<li>It goes without saying that <strong>Active Listening</strong> is key for every aspect in business. So, going in for the sale, make sure you boost up your communication skills and pay a great deal of attention to what your client is saying and not saying. Ask prospects insightful questions during the sales process to truly understand what challenges your clients are facing and what they need support with. Analyze the sales process of your organization to look for opportunities in order to become more effective and efficient.</li>
	<li>Keep in mind that foundational sales <strong>Knowledge</strong> is also very important to have clear and complete insight into sales and how it works. You need to understand each step of the sales process not only used by your organization but the general trends as well. Each lead requires an individual approach, so you can imagine how knowing many trends and skills will help you in determining the best and most personalized approaches to each.</li>
</ol>

<p>I always strive to learn new things and open more horizons in order to be in the game. My next goal is to become more successful at my job; a great sales manager should be able to design and communicate the firm&rsquo;s vision with the sales team, think critically and come up with the best ways and strategies to achieve the company&rsquo;s sales objectives. The more you learn, the more you will achieve and hence pass your knowledge to others.</p>

<p>A knowledgeable sales team will be able to make wiser decisions, plan effectively, and allocate resources based on customer needs. So, I intend to become a team leader. I enjoy working with others and guiding them throughout their journey. Inspiration, innovation and guidance are the skills that serve me for the long-hall and the willingness to learn is a trait that each employee must adhere to.</p>
