Send timely customer updates with Dexatel's notification API
An order ships. A payment clears. A booking moves. Dexatel Notify turns that event into an automated notification over SMS, WhatsApp or Viber, sent the moment it happens. Connect through REST API or SMPP, send on the channel you choose, and let Viber notifications fall back to SMS when they don't get through.
What Dexatel Notify includes for automated messaging
Event triggers, personalised messages, channel fallback and delivery reporting in one automated notification system. Your application decides when to send; we deliver it and report back.
How businesses use Dexatel Notify
Something changes on your side and your customer needs to know. You decide when to send; we get the message there and tell you what happened to it.
Transaction confirmations, card activity and login warnings, sent the moment your systems flag them. You decide what's worth telling someone about; we get it to them.
Send notifications through SMS, WhatsApp and Viber
One integration covers all three. Add a channel when you need it, without a second vendor or a second contract.

Transactional notifications fail quietly and expensively. A customer who doesn't hear that their flight moved or their payment cleared calls you instead. Here's what sits behind delivery.
Frequently asked questions
What is Dexatel Notify?
Dexatel Notify sends automated notifications to customers over SMS, WhatsApp and Viber. Your application calls the Dexatel API when something happens — an order ships, a payment clears, an appointment approaches — and Notify delivers the message and reports back on what happened to it.
Which channels can Dexatel Notify send on?
SMS, WhatsApp and Viber. SMS reaches any mobile number in 190+ countries with no app required. WhatsApp and Viber require a registered sender for each channel.
How do I trigger a notification?
Your own system decides when. There's no rule configuration inside Dexatel — your application calls the API with the recipient, the channel and the message, and Notify sends it. You can connect over REST or SMPP.
What happens if a notification doesn't get delivered?
Viber notifications fall back to SMS: if the Viber message doesn't get through, Dexatel sends it again as a text. Fallback for WhatsApp is on the roadmap. Every message returns a delivery status either way, so your systems know what landed and what didn't.
Can I personalise each notification?
Yes. Each message can carry a first name, last name and two custom fields, so an order number, appointment time or tracking link arrives alongside the customer's name.
How much does Dexatel Notify cost?
You pay per message, at rates that depend on the destination country and the channel. WhatsApp carries a $28 monthly fee per active sender, and Viber carries a minimum monthly spend that varies by country. Failed, rejected and undelivered WhatsApp and Viber messages aren't charged.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, with no credit card required. The trial covers SMS. WhatsApp and Viber need a registered sender first, which requires a paid account.
How long does setup take?
An afternoon for SMS. Sender registration is the variable: you submit it yourself from your account, and approval times differ by country. WhatsApp can be sending within the hour if your Meta business account is already verified, with template approval usually taking up to 24 hours.
Can Dexatel Notify send one-time passcodes?
OTPs run through Dexatel Verify rather than Notify. Notify sends the message telling a customer something happened; Verify sends and checks the code that authorises it.
How secure is Dexatel Notify?
Dexatel is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified and GDPR compliant. Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest, and data is hosted in the EU, with regional hosting available to discuss for enterprise customers.
