What you pay for
Flash call business pricing works on two things: how many verification attempts you place, and which country they go to.
You pay per completed attempt, not per minute, at the rate for the destination country. Every completed attempt counts, whether or not the user picks up.
How flash call verification works
Your app asks for a call, then checks digits from the caller ID. A completed attempt is the billable step.
Your app sends the user’s phone number to Dexatel’s verification API and asks for a flash call.
Dexatel places a short call to that number. The user doesn’t answer it. You’re charged per completed attempt, not per minute.
On supported Android devices, your app reads the required last digits of the calling number automatically. On iPhone and web, the user enters them.
Your app submits the captured digits. A match confirms the user holds that phone number.

Do you charge monthly fees for flash calls?
No. Flash Call is charged per completed verification attempt. There’s no setup fee and no sender registration, and the numbers your calls come from are included.
What counts as an attempt?
An attempt is a verification call Dexatel completes to a user’s phone number. Busy, rejected and unanswered calls all count, so a retry is a second attempt. Not every API request is billable.
Am I charged if the user doesn’t enter the code?
Yes. The charge sits on the completed attempt, not on whether the user finishes. A flash call is designed never to be answered, so the attempt is the unit either way.
Is a flash call cheaper than SMS?
It depends on the destination country and the rates on your account. Compare the Flash Call rate per attempt against the SMS cost per code, including retries, for the countries you actually send to.
What happens if flash calls aren’t supported by a carrier?
You choose what happens next. Flash Call runs on its own rather than inside Verify’s fallback chain, so where a carrier doesn’t support it, you send the verification on another channel. SMS, WhatsApp, Viber, Telegram and Email can be ordered as fallbacks through the same Verify API.
Is Android different from iPhone?
On supported Android devices, your app can capture the caller ID digits automatically with the right integration and permissions. On iPhone and web, the user enters the digits from the missed call. The per-attempt rate is the same either way.
Do I need to rent a number?
No. Calls go out from a shared Dexatel number pool at no extra charge. You can ask us to widen that pool or set the country the calls originate from, and you can bring your own pool instead — none of it carries a fee.
Do prices vary by country?
Yes. Each destination has its own rate per verification attempt, and routes within a country can differ. Select the country in the calculator above to see yours.
Does the user pay for the call?
The call is designed to be missed, so the usual flow doesn’t produce an answered call on the user’s side. Any charge the recipient sees depends on their own operator, plan and roaming conditions.
Can I use a voice call that reads the code instead?

Is flash call verification secure?
Flash Call confirms that the user can receive a call on that number and return the expected digits. It doesn’t establish who they are, so use it alongside request limits, retry controls and your own account checks.
