Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
Do you charge monthly fees for flash calls?
No. Dexatel does not apply platform, seat, or subscription fees for flash calls. Pricing is entirely pay-as-you-go, so you are only billed for each verification attempt you send.
What happens if flash calls aren’t supported by a carrier?
If a mobile carrier does not support flash calls in a specific market, Dexatel automatically switches to your configured fallback channels such as SMS, WhatsApp, or Viber. The verification attempt continues, and each fallback is billed at its respective standard rate.
Is Android different from iOS?
Yes. On Android devices, Flash calls can be automatically read by the app, eliminating the need for manual input and creating a smooth user experience. On iOS and web, however, users must manually enter the digits from the missed call.
How do flash calls compare to SMS OTP in terms of cost?
Flash calls typically deliver significant savings compared to SMS OTP. Market data and customer benchmarks show that businesses can reduce their verification costs by as much as 60 percent, depending on the country, routing, and traffic volumes.
Can I use TTS voice OTP instead of a missed call?
Yes. If you prefer not to rely on missed calls, Dexatel also supports text-to-speech Voice OTPs. Each attempt triggers an automated voice call that delivers the one-time code, and pricing follows a per-attempt model.
Do I need to rent a number?
No. Renting a number is not required to use Flash Calls, as the calls are triggered automatically by Dexatel’s system. However, if you need specific caller-ID behavior, branding options, or inbound call flows, our sales team can provide guidance and custom solutions.
