Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
Are there monthly fees for Telegram OTP?
No. Dexatel does not charge monthly platform fees, and Telegram’s APIs are free to use. You only pay per OTP attempt, making it a cost-effective option for businesses that want to add Telegram as a verification channel without recurring expenses.
Do I need a phone number (DID)?
No. Telegram OTP delivery works through bots and user handles rather than rented phone numbers. This means you can authenticate users globally without having to manage or pay for dedicated DID numbers.
Is Telegram Business/Premium required?
No. You can deliver OTP codes via Dexatel’s API without needing Telegram Business or Premium accounts. The service is designed to work out of the box so you can reach users directly through standard Telegram accounts.
What sender will customers see?
OTP messages on Telegram are delivered from a verified generic sender called “Verification Codes.” At the moment, branded senders are not supported, but users will still see the message clearly labeled as a secure verification code.
