Why this role matters: Our connectivity is the core of what we sell. In this role, you will manage and grow our A2P SMS supplier network and build the procurement function from the ground up. This is a hands-on role.
Tus funciones serán las siguientes:
- Manage and grow relationships with existing connectivity partners: MNOs, aggregators, and other messaging providers
- Source, negotiate with, and onboard new suppliers (MNOs/MVNOs, aggregators, messaging providers) to expand Dexatel's coverage
- Secure direct and high-quality routes with the best mix of rates, delivery rates, and reliability for our SMS Aggregation and CPaaS Sales teams
- Negotiate volume commitments, bilateral deals, and exclusive or preferred route agreements
- Work with Analytics to spot and act on fraud and traffic anomalies such as artificially inflated traffic (AIT) and grey routes
- Make sure supplier routes meet local A2P rules, including sender ID registration, content restrictions, and country-specific filtering and firewall requirements
- Set up processes that help Procurement work smoothly with Analytics, Customer Support, SMS Aggregation, and CPaaS Sales
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on supplier costs, margins, route quality, and KPIs
- Run market research and forecasting to track pricing changes, regulation updates, and new connectivity options
Lo que debes aportar:
- 5+ years in wholesale telecom, A2P SMS procurement, or carrier relations
- Strong knowledge of the A2P SMS ecosystem: direct vs. indirect routes, grey routes, SMS firewalls, termination pricing, and MNO billing models
- Hands-on experience with SMPP and HTTP connectivity, and route configuration together with technical teams
- Experience with least cost routing (LCR), rate deck management, and MCC/MNC-level pricing
- Knowledge of route testing tools and quality metrics used to assess suppliers
- Good understanding of international and domestic connectivity options across EMEA
- A track record of negotiating and closing multiple international telco service agreements
- Strong analytical skills, with confidence presenting supplier strategy and cost trade-offs to leadership
- The ability to build strong working relationships internally and with partners at every level
- Excellent written and spoken English
Nice to have
- Hands-on use of AI tools for supplier research, forecasting, reporting, or process automation
- Direct relationships with MNOs and MVNOs across EMEA
- Coverage experience outside EMEA (LATAM, APAC)
- Experience with HLR lookup and number portability services
- Experience building or scaling a procurement function
